Doc’s Eat Good Live Great Low Sodium Chili

Low sodium chili

Here is a great recipe for low sodium chili to warm you up when it’s could outside. It has all the flavor but none of the salt!

Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb sweet corn
1 can no-salt-added pinto beans
1 can no-salt-added kidney beans
1 can no-salt-added crushed tomatoes
1 can no-salt-added tomato puree
4 teaspoons oregano
4 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 teaspoons Doc’s Salt Free hot sauce
1 ½ teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 ½ cups chopped onions
1 ½ cups chopped green peppers

1. First, brown the ground beef over low heat in a pan
2. Then in a separate pan, brown the peppers, onion and garlic
3. Next mix all the ingredients (except corn) in a crock pot
4. Let cook at low heat for 4-8 hours. Stir in the sweet corn
5. Enjoy!
